When ready for activation, a tile appeared on-screen that the player touched to activate the Ability. During combat the players could accumulate Elements, which were necessary to activate Abilities, the game's form of summoned monsters. Players could use standard melee attacks with close-range weapons such as swords, and magical attacks. Mobius featured a tactics-focused, turn-based battle system, in which the players were able to activate attacks by tapping enemies on screen.
